Culminate video

What a wonderful project it was to be involved in. I had such a great time with these three directors and 7 other performers. If you missed coming to see Culminate, check this out…

Tiny Little Tragedies

So excited for this! Alice Lee Holland is one of my favourite choreographers. And I’ll be in Perth in time to see her latest work! Hooray!

Culminate production images

Have now got some beautiful production stills of myself and the rest of the cast of Culminate from Force Majeure. More can be found in the Gallery on this site. Culminate was performed 1-4 August 2012 at Carriageworks, Sydney.

‘I Will Have Beautiful People At My Funeral Too’ (Director: Simone O’Brien)

‘Be Prepared’ (Director: Ross Ganf)

Back to Pinocchio

Only 5 weeks until West Australian Ballet opens their brand new production of Pinocchio. I’m back in Perth again now, after four weeks in Sydney, so I’m gearing back up for the role and learning everything I’ve missed. There are costume fittings and nose-testing and plenty of dancing!

This is going to be one huge show.

Variant

I was so excited to catch Sue Healey’s new production of Variant while I’m in Sydney.

I came out of this show feeling warm and fuzzy. It’s an ode to the freaks of this world, those who don’t fit in, and those who are considered different. Using beautiful voice overs telling extraordinary stories of fascinating real-life characters, and amongst a beautiful, simple set design, we were treated to some great dancing.

Where else can you find a tap-dancing dwarf and an impossibly tall man (exaggerated even further in heels) singing while a contortionist with incredible control effortlessly glides between stunning body shapes.

Ah, good theatre.
