Loving Repeating

As many of you will know, I’ve been busy choreographing Miss Saigon for Footlight Productions the last few months. The show opens in just a few evenings time! This show looks incredible and we’re only in tech! Can’t wait for you to see it. Click here to purchase tickets
Make no mistake. This show is going to live for a long time. I had the privilege to witness the very new production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar created by Jonathon Worsley and directed by Naomi Edwards. Using puppets of all shapes and sizes, this show brings to life four heart warming stories taken directly from Eric Carle’s books.
With illustrations literally coming to life, this is not just a show for kids, although of course they LOVE it. I cried several times at the sheer beauty of it. Incredibly inspiring work. I’m confident it will tour internationally. If it comes near you, you MUST see it. Not having a child to go with is no excuse.
And yes. I got to meet the Very Hungry Caterpillar himself in the foyer after the show! Totally star stuck.
Wow! Can you believe we’re at the end of 2014 already! It’s been a fantastic year, I hope yours has been full of wonderful adventures, mine certainly has. I was able to spend the day with my family, this is me and my little nephew Levi.
I’ll thrilled to announce that the full tour schedule of First Things First has been released! My one-man show will be touring regional Australia, bringing high quality contemporary dance theatre to those who don’t always get to experience it. I’m so excited! Am I performing near you?

I’m in Bathurst, NSW, right now in a creative development period with physical theatre company Lingua Franca. The new dance theatre work, Unsustainable Behaviour, challenges the perception that all progress is good progress. Are we really thinking ahead with all of these ‘improvments’ to our world, or are we driving ourselves over a cliff?
Powerful thoughts. I’m thoroughly enjoying the creation process for this new work for myself and three other performers.
For those of you that don’t know, I’m thrilled to be working alongside Director Chris Parker to choreograph his production of Miss Saigon for GPAC here in Victoria, Australia. This is going to be a sizzling, powerful piece of theatre, performed in January, and I am so excited. Today was day one in the rehearsal room. The cast already sound and look great…we began with The Morning Of The Dragon. How fun!
Reception: The Musical, the project I choreographed, assistant directed and even helped to write a little bit, has won BEST CABARET in the 2014 Melbourne Fringe Festival Awards!!!!!
I am so proud that this dream of a show has made it’s way into the hearts of Melbourne. Reception: The Musical will be touring soon, so keep an eye out!
Massive congratulations to the star of the show, Bethany, who was also nominated for ‘Best Emerging Writer’ for Reception: The Musical.
